This is a fun collage that I drew for my beautiful niece, Maisie.  I wasn't able to finish the coloring on it before I had to leave Utah.

This is one of the end of the year gifts that I made for Miley's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Sousa.  Apricot Valley Elementary has adopted the No Student Left Behind theory, and they encourage ALL their students to continue on to college or university.  Her class university this year was USC.  Here is a little clipboard for her teacher.  She seemed to really like it.  She said it brought tears to her eyes. I mod podged it front and back to protect and seal the images.

Hello again!

Hello again!

I'm back!  After all this time, I'm finally back in the saddle and interested in keeping up on my blog again.  Granted, I'm not talking about every day or even every week, but I hope to be better than I have been, which shouldn't be that hard!

I took a "vacation" from a lot of my projects, however I did do a few here and there.  I will try to catch up and show a few of those up until recent.

The ARTIST IN ME is back!!!!

Guittard Chocolate Order Process:

For those of you who are not familiar with this, here is how it works:

We make an annual order every October. It is in bulk, so we have to purchase by the CASE. Chocolate chips come in 25 pound cases, chocolate blocks in 50 pound cses, and Nonpareils in 20. You do not have to order this much.  Typically, most people order choc chips by 5 pound increments (comes in gallon size bags). If you don't want a full 5 pounds, share and split the cost with a friend. Or, share and split the cost of a 25lb. case with a friend.   Most people order 5lbs. of this and 5lbs. of that... get whatever you want.

By the time I place the order, I need to balance out the cases, so I'm ordering increments of 25 pound cases. So, for example, if someone wants 5lbs. of butterscotch chips, but nobody else from our area wants any, that is not enough to order a case (25#), so you will not be able to order it. Or, if we are just short 5 or 10 lbs. of something in order to make the 25lb. minimum, I may ask around to see if anybody is willing to add to their order so that we can balance that case out. Make sense?

You order what you want, and I get the fun job of balancing it all out.  We usually don't have too many problems with this. I have been able to add on to other reps' orders also, that that works nicely also.

I need to have all orders in by Oct. 13th, or the sooner the better!!!  Please do not pay me right away.  We may need to make adjustments to your original orders (either by adding to them or by knocking something off in order to balance out cases).  I will let you know when I need payment.  Please make checks out to me.

The chocolate will be delivered to me on Oct. 25th, and then I should have your orders ready by the 28th or sooner.

Please add $2.00 to your order to cover the cost of bags as well as gas for our head coordinator to pick it up from the warehouse.

When placing your order, you do not need to print out an order form unless you want to.  You can simply email me, facebook message me, or call me with what you want and I can put it onto my master order form.  When you fill out the order form and mark under "quantity", please specify what you are wanting.  If I see "5", I will take this to mean you want 5 pounds.  If you actually mean 5 - 5# bags, you need to write "25".

The prices may seem a bit hefty upon glancing at them at first, but if you compare prices anywhere else, you will find that this is a good deal, and as long as you have the storage space, these can last you all year long.  I can't remember the last time I bought choc. chips from the stores (except for peanut butter on occasion).  SOME of the chips are about the same price as you would get at Winco or Costco, but most of them are not.  Guittard chocolate has a good reputation.

Thank you!  If you have further questions, just call me, text me, personal message me on facebook, or email me at scheuller5@comcast.net

If you prefer to have the order form emailed to you, please email me at scheuller5@comcast.net and I will email you the form.  I have a printed out forms to give to you as well.
