Painted name canvas

I recently went out of my comfort zone and made this name painting for a friend's baby.  She has designed his nursery centered around "happy little monsters".  This was a bit wild, and not my usual style.  But... I will admit that I had fun painting it.  I drew the letters to the name first, then proceeded to draw miscellaneous monsters, trees, designs....  The time consuming part was the painting of the bright colors.

Just for fun!

My Stampin Up! friends may recognize this little owl, originally made from paper punches (see below).  I love this guy, so he inspired me to do this picture, which I will frame and post on my Etsy shop.  Isn't he cute?  And, thanks Beverlee!

My previous monster project (above post) got me onto a monster kick.  This was just a quick little thing I did one night.  Crazy easy.  Cut oval out of green lined paper, 3 circles of white (for eye balls), 3 small circles for black eyes, a heart punch cut in half for the feet, and drew the legs, the smile and the lettering.  EASY and cute!

FYI

Just FYI, in case you didn't know,  up above, right underneath the title "The Artist In Me", I have created page tabs which allow you to visit a separate page connected to my blog.  These pages show the various projects I've completed.  Move your curser on them and they will be highlighted in purple.
             The page tabs are:     Home
                                               Cards, Invitations, and more
                                               Wood crafts
                                               Paintings
                                               Drawings
                                        and Contact/Order Information

So, instead of finding all my pictures here on my home page, you can check them out by category.  (I will try, however, to post the newest projects here first before moving them to their appropriate category later.)

Keep watching  for new projects.  Thanks for checking out my blog!

Have a fun, creative day!
